Find Your Perfect Electric Ride: E-Bikes, Folding Bikes, E-Trikes & More at Pogo Cycles

Find Your Perfect Electric Ride: E-Bikes, Folding Bikes, E-Trikes & More at Pogo Cycles

Find the Electric Ride That Fits Your Life

There is no single “best” electric bike for everyone.

A daily commuter may want a lightweight, comfortable bike that makes the journey to work easier. A weekend explorer might prefer fat tyres, suspension and a larger battery. Someone living in an apartment may prioritise a folding e-bike, while a family or small business could benefit from the carrying capacity of an electric tricycle.

At Pogo Cycles this September 2026, we bring together a wide selection of electric bikes and personal electric mobility products so riders can compare different styles, specifications and price points in one place. Our current electric bike collection includes commuter, folding, mountain, cargo, fat-tyre and other specialist designs.

But choosing the right ride isn't just about looking at the biggest motor or longest advertised range.

The right bike is the one that matches how, where and why you ride.

Our featured collection includes some particularly interesting models worth exploring.

Bodywel M16 Pro – Style Meets Everyday Riding

The Bodywel M16 Pro stands out immediately with its vintage motorcycle-inspired design, wide tyres and distinctive frame.

Pogo Cycles currently lists the M16 Pro at €799, making it one of the more accessible models featured in this collection.

It's an appealing option for riders who want an electric bike that looks different from a conventional bicycle while still being suitable for leisure and everyday riding.

Ideal for: riders who value distinctive styling, comfort and an eye-catching design.

ENGWE E26 3.0 Pro – Built for Bigger Adventures

For riders looking for a more premium electric bike, the ENGWE E26 3.0 Pro offers a full-suspension design aimed at commuting, countryside riding and mixed terrain.

Pogo Cycles currently lists it at €1,899 and describes it as featuring a 250W mid-drive motor with 100 Nm of torque.

The combination of suspension, wider tyres and a mid-drive system makes this a model worth considering when comfort and versatility are higher priorities.

Ideal for: mixed-terrain riders, weekend explorers and commuters looking for a premium setup.

Vitilan M5 – Mountain-Bike Capability

The Vitilan M5 takes a more adventure-focused approach.

Pogo Cycles lists the M5 at €1,494 and describes it as a dual-suspension electric mountain bike with torque-sensing pedal assistance and a 500W brushless motor.

For riders who want suspension and a more capable platform for varied terrain, the M5 is an attractive option within the Pogo range.

Ideal for: recreational riders and those looking for a more capable all-terrain design.

ENGWE Zip – Folding Convenience

Not everyone has space for a full-size electric bike.

The ENGWE Zip is designed around portability, with a folding frame and removable battery. Pogo Cycles currently lists the model at €1,099.

A folding e-bike can be particularly useful for apartment living, compact storage, commuting and transporting your bike when space is limited.

Ideal for: urban commuters and riders who prioritise portability.

KOOLUX X3 – A Practical Electric Ride

The KOOLUX X3 featured in our collection is aimed at riders looking for a practical electric bike with a sporty appearance.

Its combination of commuter-friendly design and electric assistance makes it worth considering for riders who want an everyday bike with a little extra versatility.

Ideal for: everyday riders looking for a practical and stylish electric bike.

Always check the individual product page for the latest specification and price, as promotional pricing and availability can change.

Bopzin Q8 – High-Power Performance

If you're looking for something considerably more powerful, the Bopzin Q8 takes a different approach.

Pogo Cycles currently lists the Q8 at €1,495 and describes it as a 60V, 2,000W wide-tyre electric bike with a removable 60V 35Ah battery.

Its high-power specification and rugged construction make it a very different proposition from a conventional commuter e-bike.

Important: high-powered electric bikes may not fall into Ireland's standard bicycle classification. Always establish the legal classification and permitted use before riding on public roads.

Cysum AG1 Pro – Practical Three-Wheel Mobility

The Cysum AG1 Pro brings something different to the collection: three wheels and a cargo-oriented design.

Pogo Cycles lists the foldable electric tricycle at €1,379, describing it as suitable for commuting, shopping, deliveries and leisure use.

Its format can appeal to riders who prioritise stability and carrying capacity over the traditional two-wheel bicycle design.

Ideal for: shopping, carrying loads and riders looking for a three-wheel platform.

OOTD T10 Pro – Performance Electric Scooter

The OOTD T10 Pro is designed for riders seeking a high-performance electric scooter, with dual motors, suspension and hydraulic brakes. Pogo Cycles currently lists it at €849.

Pogo's product information states that its factory speed limit is 25 km/h, while higher speeds can be unlocked for private use.

Important: Irish public-road requirements are different from the performance capabilities of a scooter. An e-scooter must meet specific requirements including a maximum continuous rated power of 400W, maximum net weight of 25kg and maximum design speed of 20 km/h to be legally used on public roads.

Hoverboard V2 – Fun Electric Mobility

For something completely different, the Hoverboard V2 offers a compact self-balancing design with Bluetooth and LED lighting.

Pogo Cycles currently lists the model at €229.

It's a recreational option for customers looking beyond traditional bicycles and scooters.

Choose the Ride That Fits You

With so many electric mobility options available, the best choice depends on your priorities:

  • Daily commuting: Bodywel M16 Pro or a practical commuter e-bike
  • Adventure and mixed terrain: ENGWE E26 3.0 Pro or Vitilan M5
  • Easy storage: ENGWE Zip
  • High-power riding: Bopzin Q8
  • Carrying loads: Cysum AG1 Pro
  • Electric scooter performance: OOTD T10 Pro
  • Recreational fun: Hoverboard V2

What About Advertised Range?

You'll often see figures such as “up to 100 km” or “up to 140 km.”

Treat these as maximum claimed figures rather than a guaranteed distance.

For example, Pogo's ENGWE E26 information explicitly explains that actual mileage can vary with speed, rider weight, wind and road conditions.

Your real-world range can be affected by:

  • Rider weight
  • Hills
  • Wind
  • Temperature
  • Tyre pressure
  • Assistance level
  • Speed
  • Surface
  • Battery age
  • Stop-start riding

If range is important to you, choose a bike with enough battery capacity for your normal journey, rather than choosing solely from the biggest number in an advertisement.

Important: Know the Irish E-Bike Rules

This is one area where an Irish e-bike buying guide should never rely solely on retailer marketing.

Under current Road Safety Authority guidance, an Irish road-legal e-bike is a pedal-assisted bicycle with a maximum continuous rated motor output of 250W, with the motor cutting out when pedalling stops or when the vehicle reaches 25 km/h. Such e-bikes are treated as bicycles and can use cycle lanes.

More powerful pedal-assisted bikes, and certain throttle-assisted models, can fall into the e-moped categories and have different requirements, including registration, tax, insurance and/or licensing depending on classification.

Why this matters

Some electric vehicles advertised online have motor specifications well above the 250W e-bike threshold.

That doesn't necessarily mean they cannot be purchased or used—but you need to establish the vehicle's legal classification and intended use before riding it on public roads in Ireland.

For the latest requirements, always check the RSA guidance rather than relying on a product advertisement.

Electric Scooters Are Different

E-scooters should not simply be treated as smaller e-bikes.

Ireland has separate rules for e-scooters, so customers should check the applicable requirements before buying a high-performance model.

The same principle applies:

Check the legal specification first. Choose the performance second.

This is especially important when a product has a higher motor rating or can be operated at speeds above those permitted for a compliant road-going e-scooter.

Can You Use the Bike to Work Scheme?

For eligible employees, Ireland's Cycle to Work Scheme can make purchasing a qualifying bicycle or e-bike more affordable.

Revenue currently states that the tax-exempt limits are:

  • €1,500 for pedelecs/e-bikes
  • €3,000 for cargo and e-cargo bikes
  • €1,250 for other bicycles

The limits include related safety equipment. Revenue also states that the scheme can generally be used once every four years, subject to the scheme's conditions.

The bicycle must be provided by the employer under the scheme and is intended mainly for qualifying journeys, such as travelling between home and your normal place of work.

If you're considering using the scheme, check the current Revenue rules and speak with your employer before ordering.

How to Choose Your Perfect Ride

Here's a simple way to narrow down your options.

If you mainly want to... Consider
Commute around town Commuter / step-through e-bike
Save storage space Folding e-bike
Explore mixed terrain Mountain / all-terrain e-bike
Carry shopping or equipment Cargo bike / e-trike
Ride recreationally Comfortable leisure e-bike
Travel longer distances Larger-battery e-bike
Ride on private/off-road terrain Appropriate high-performance model
Use the Bike to Work Scheme Check that the specific bicycle qualifies
